Erica A. Swerdlow
Erica Swerdlow is the Chief Executive Officer of Wyecomm, a Stagwell Company. She is responsible for developing a new communications agency focused on expert integration and operations between client and agency. Erica is charged with company growth and building high-functioning teams that will help organizations communicate as they evolve their business.
Prior to Wyecomm, Erica served as U.S. Executive Vice President at Burson-Marsteller from 2010 to 2016, responsible for business development and growth for the U.S. network as well as Midwest Market Leader. Erica led the expansion of Burson-Marsteller’s presence and footprint in the Midwest region.
With more than 25 years of experience working in public relations, Erica has managed several global and national accounts such as Hormel Foods, Discover Financial Services, ATI Physical Therapy and Harman International. Erica’s experience includes managing corporate reputation, brand and consumer marketing and building integration and operational systems to better serve clients.
Prior to Burson-Marsteller, Erica was an Executive Vice President with Porter Novelli from 2000 to 2010. At Porter Novelli, Erica was responsible for overall development of strategic communications and social media programs for both business-to-business and consumer companies. She also served as global client relationship leader for Penske and Monster Worldwide, and team leader supporting general consumer marketing and public relations for McDonald’s in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
Prior to Porter Novelli, Erica was President of EBS Public Relations Inc., a mid-size public relations agency acquired by Omnicom and integrated into Porter Novelli in 2000. As president, Erica oversaw business development and managed key accounts and client service teams.
Erica has been honored by PR News as a 2016 Top Woman in PR and for her work with a PR Week Award, Gold Sabre and Silver Anvil. Erica also produced and led the Illinois Annual Technology Conference (ILATC) from 2000 to 2003 and was an Ernst & Young Midwest High Tech finalist in 1995. She served on the board of directors for Starlight Children’s Foundation, Midwest from 2010 to 2014 and currently serves as a Trustee for Bounce Children’s Foundation. Erica obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
